The Living Library

Asymmetrist 2.0 · For paid subscribers

Its purpose is simple: to ensure the work does not fade into an archive.

Asymmetrist is written to be durable. Yet durability only matters if the work continues to be revisited, tested, and used as markets change and careers unfold. The Living Library exists to do that work with you.

It takes what has already been published and brings it back into lived experience. Past Features and Dispatches are returned to, reflected on, and linked directly to current market conditions and professional questions. The archive is not treated as finished. It is treated as active material.

It is the place where the work comes back together.

Now live in the Living Library

Episode 01: Between the Headlines ( 28 January 2026)

The inaugural Living Library entry reflects on a shift that has quietly taken place as we move from 2025 into early 2026: from markets dominated by headlines to markets that increasingly move between them. Using the “market of islands” framework, it explores what this change means for opportunity, positioning, and trader development across the career curve.

This includes not only past Features and Dispatches, but also:

  • reflections tied to the Stream of Consciousness book club,

  • written summaries of what we are reading,

  • my own marginalia, highlights, and notes,

  • and higher-level reflections connecting these ideas to trading practice and the current market cycle.

To begin with, the Living Library includes:

  • roughly two reflective entries per month,

  • delivered first via a private podcast feed for paid subscribers,

  • with written summaries or full adaptations available alongside.

Episode 01, published in January 2026, marks the start of this rhythm.

Over time, this layer expands into other formats, including periodic mailbags and Q&A, always with the same aim: application, return, and dialogue.

This is where Asymmetrist becomes more explicitly two-way.

A place for questions, clarification, disagreement, and refinement.

If a reader says, “I did not understand this,” or “How does this apply now?” the Living Library is where that is worked through and integrated.

The Living Library is not an add-on.

It is the completion layer of the project.

It is sustained by paid subscriptions and exists to turn a body of work into a living practice.

If you are new here, the best place to begin is with Living Library — Episode 01. From there, the Library will continue to grow alongside each publication cycle.
